Eleventh Floor Exhibition Space

This project entailed designing an
exhibition space in the lobby of the
New York State Archives and New
York State Library to showcase
highlights of their collections. A major
limitation of the project was that the
two main walls were white marble to
which nothing could be affixed. To
solve that issue, a floating wall system
was mounted to the floor and ceiling
to conceal the marble and provide a
surface on which to adhere graphics.
The materials were selected to match
the architecture elements in the
remainder of the space. It also
included the design of a series of
“broadsides” for the side hallways.
