NEW YORK STATE ARCHIVES
AND NEW YORK STATE LIBRARY

Eleventh Floor Exhibition Space

This project entailed designing an
exhibition space to showcase highlights
of the collections of the New York State
Archives and New York State Library in
the lobby of their newly renovated space.
A major limitation was that the two main
walls were white marble to which nothing
could be affixed, so we designed a floating
wall system that was mounted to the floor
and ceiling to conceal the marble and
provide a surface on which to adhere
graphics. The materials were selected to
match the architecture elements in the
remainder of the space.
