Kris Fitzgerald of 2k Design is honored to have been asked to be one of Graphic Design USA magazine’s 2019 People to Watch. Each year GDUSA spotlights a handful of people who embody the spirit of the creative community, individuals they have come to know and respect for their proven creative and strategic talent; newsworthiness and influence; business and community leadership. Starting in the 1960s, generations of designers have participated, including: Milton Glaser, Walter Landor, Massimo Vignelli, Saul Bass, Ivan Chermayeff, Lou Dorfsman, Ken Carbone, Sean Adams, Stefan Sagmeister, Margo Chase, Debbie Millman, David Carson, Jessica Hische, Chip Kidd, Eddie Opara, and many more. 2K AND SARAH BILOFSKY MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS BUILD AWARENESS FOR THE CANALWAY CHALLENGE

Last fall, 2k and marketing partner, Sarah Bilofsky were selected by the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor to develop a marketing plan for their new program the Canalway Challenge. The Challenge seeks to make the Erie Canal a “must-do” experience that capitalizes on the unique assets of the waterway and the trail that follows it from Buffalo to Albany. In addition to delivering a plan that provides a roadmap for promoting the Challenge in 2019 and beyond, we also developed the overall brand and marketing materials and are working with Web Instinct of Saratoga Springs to help build an interactive web experience that will allow users to sign up themselves or their group and track their mileage through the website. The Challenge will launch this spring to coincide with the opening of the Canal season in May. If you are interested in learning more or signing up, visit CanalwayChallenge.org.
