2K AND SARAH BILOFSKY MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS BUILD AWARENESS FOR THE CANALWAY CHALLENGE

Last fall, 2k and marketing partner, Sarah Bilofsky were selected by the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor to develop a marketing plan for their new program the Canalway Challenge. The Challenge seeks to make the Erie Canal a “must-do” experience that capitalizes on the unique assets of the waterway and the trail that follows it from Buffalo to Albany. In addition to delivering a plan that provides a roadmap for promoting the Challenge in 2019 and beyond, we also developed the overall brand and marketing materials and are working with Web Instinct of Saratoga Springs to help build an interactive web experience that will allow users to sign up themselves or their group and track their mileage through the website. The Challenge will launch this spring to coincide with the opening of the Canal season in May. If you are interested in learning more or signing up, visit CanalwayChallenge.org.

2k Design wins five American Graphic Design Awards from Graphic Design USA magazine. The following projects were recognized: The New York State Water Trail Identity and Graphic Standards and Recommendation Booklet; the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York’s Vision 21 Campaign Viewbook; New York Archives Spring 2018 Magazine; the Spring 2018 issue of Union College magazine; and Union College’s 2016-17 President’s Report. A special thanks to the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York, the New York State Archives Partnership Trust, and Union College for the opportunities to work on such great projects! ERIE CANALWAY NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR AND 2K DESIGN WIN NYSTIA EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR MARKETING MATERIALS

Together with our client, Jean Mackay from the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, we're proud to have been recognized by the New York State Tourism Industry Association with a 2018 NYSTIA Tourism Excellence Award for the printed collateral materials we have designed for the Canalway. In addition to the annual Map & Guide distributed to 70,000 across the state and the annual calendar given away to over 20,000, the other printed pieces recognized included a series of itineraries for the National Park Service’s Find Your Park Program.
