Friends of Genesee Valley Greenway
The Friends of Genesee Valley Greenway is a 501(c)3 member organization that supports and promotes the Genesee Valley Greenway State Park (GVGSP), one of hundreds of greenways being developed across the nation along old canals, abandoned rail beds, and riverbanks. The Greenway passes through scenic woodlands, river and stream valleys, rolling farmlands, steep gorges, and historic villages located in sixteen towns in New York State's Monroe, Livingston, Wyoming, Allegany, and Cattaraugus counties. The Friends volunteer their time and efforts to maintain and enhance trails, and host events to encourage visitation to the Greenway.
