MELODIES CENTER SIGNAGE
When Melodies of Christmas celebrated it 30th anniversary, Albany Medical Center renamed their Child Cancer Center, The Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, in honor of the corporate partners and the annual concert that had supported the program for three decades. Working with the client and the Melodies partners, we designed an identity for the Center's entrance to serve as its signage. The elements of the identity—the curved staff in the background, the Bass Clef incorporated into the “M”, the note as the “d” and the bouncing letters—pay homage to the musical event after which the Center was named. The color palette incorporates the color palette of the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center logo with the addition of the yellow background to create a positive and hopeful atmosphere.
