This brochure, designed in the National Park Service Unigrid format, serves as the primary print publication for the 110 mile long Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area. It supports a variety of outreach efforts including distribution through visitor centers, highway rest areas, and tourism brochure racks, events, and shows. The brochure is meant to engage “geotourists,” outdoor recreation enthusiasts, families, millennials and active retirees in nearby urban markets, as well as travelers interested in activities such as biking, birding, wildlife, boating, paddling, camping, hiking, running, and more. Narrative text and pictures promote and celebrate the rails, trails, landscapes, parks, towns, sites and history found within Heritage Area’s borders, while the map provides an overview of the Heritage Area and highlights access points.
