FALL 2012 CATALOG
This was the first catalog we designed for Madison Handbags (MHB). In addition to images of models with their bags, MHB's previous catalogs included silhouettes of each individual bag style (over 30 bags), which involved a lot of time for both the photographer and the designer. To create a more dynamic set of images and narrow down the number of images that would need to be photographed, we suggested highlighting the product by photographing beautiful groupings of bags that would fill the pages. We still included some model shots, but the emphasis was shifted to the bags. We developed the concept, and styled and art directed the photos to include seasonally appropriate props and dramatic lighting with a vintage feel. While on set, we placed the images into the layout to ensure proper fit and typographic legibility. The end result received rave reviews from our client and their sales associates and customers.
