Our concepts for the Spring 2013 catalog revolved around spring showers and flowers and involved collecting and preparing a series of props that included large scale tissue paper roses (yellow and pink) and hydrangeas (white and blue). We created the initial flowers and showed staff at MHB how to make them. We also made a set of six stems of varying heights. The stems each had a base to which PVC pipes were attached and then wrapped with green tissue paper and leaves. This enabled us to change out the heads of the flowers to coordinate with the bags. With our models and the props and garden of flowers in tow, we shot all the images in our photographer's studio over the course of a two days. Photos were placed into the catalog's page layouts as they were photographed, so we could ensure proper proportions and fit before we broke down a set.
