MOHAWK RIVER TRAIL WAYFINDING MAPS
As the City of Rome expanded the length of the Mohawk River Trail, they needed a new map to show trail users where they were in relation to various landmarks throughout the city. While the plan was originally to develop one map, we realized that the scale would make it difficult for users to see enough detail of their surroundings to actually be useful. Because of this, we developed a background map at full scale and another map with greater detail that was inset over the background to show the area surrounding where the signs were positioned.
