This graphic mark was designed to pay homage to the 200th anniversary of French architect Joseph Ramée's 1813 master plan for Union College. Not only a significant event for the college, it was a milestone in the history of American collegiate architecture, for it was the most ambitious and innovative design for an American school up to that time and became a model for later campuses. The mark combines one of Ramée's original renderings and a typographic configuration with a historic feel and was used on a variety of materials from banners to brochures that were developed to celebrate the milestone.
