Implementation of the graphic identity for Cycle the Erie Canal was carried through into a new “experiential” website to encourage tourism along the Trail. The website enabled PTNY to reach the broadest audience possible for the resources invested and all other promotion and marketing activities that were developed as part of the campaign were designed to drive traffic to it. The site provides potential visitors an easy way to plan a cycling journey that fits their particular interests, while the design elements and photography illustrate the character and unique attributes they will find along the way. And pages like "Trail travelers" communicate the authentic experiences of previous visitors' journeys along the Trail to give users a true sense of what they will encounter. As such, CycletheErie.com has become the primary source of information about cycling the Erie Canalway Trail.
